Track learning progress for text explanations

To make the progress display for your trainees even more precise, simpleclub now supports the "Mark text as read" function for all text explanations.

What has changed?

Until now, text explanations didn't directly count toward the learning progress percentage. As a result, topics were often shown as "incomplete" even if the trainee had read the text carefully.

  • Complete tracking: Text explanations now count as a full learning activity.

  • Interactive completion: At the end of each text explanation, trainees find a button to actively mark it as complete.

  • More precise reports: In your trainer reports, you can now see exactly whether and when your trainees worked through the texts.

  • Support for your own content: The feature works for simpleclub content as well as for texts you created yourself in the Content Creator.

How it works for trainees

The process is simple and intuitive for your trainees:

  1. Read & scroll: The trainee reads the text and scrolls to the end of the page.

  2. Mark: A new button labeled "Mark text as read" appears.

  3. Completion: After the click, the button's status changes, and the sidebar shows 100% progress for this item.

FAQ for trainers

Why are topics that were previously completed suddenly shown as "incomplete"?

This is due to the new calculation method, which now also takes text explanations into account. When a trainee revisits an already completed exercise for review, the system triggers a recalculation. Because the related text couldn't be marked as "read" in the past, the topic's overall progress drops below 100%.

  • Solution: Ask your trainee to briefly open the topic and mark the text as read at the end.
