Organize learning plans: use tabs and tags

In this article, you'll learn how the automatic tabs work and how to use tags to organize your Library efficiently.

Filter plans by status: All, Active, and Past

Your Library automatically sorts learning plans into three tabs based on their end date. You don't have to move or archive anything manually.

At the top of the list, you'll find these three tabs:

  • All: Shows every learning plan in your Library, regardless of whether or which end date is set. This is the default view when you open the Library.

  • Active: Shows all plans whose end date is today or in the future.

  • Past: All plans whose end date is before today automatically end up here.

How the automatic assignment works

Plans are assigned to the tabs entirely in the background. As soon as the Library loads, the system checks the plan's end date.

Important: Learning plans without an end date appear only in the “All” tab. If you want a plan like this to appear under “Active”, you need to enter a future end date in the plan settings.

Important: There's no manual archive function. If you want to move an expired plan back to the active section, just change its end date to today or a future date.

Organize learning plans with tags

To separate your plans even more precisely by training job, qualification type, or year group, you can add tags when you create or edit them.

Step by step: Assign tags

  1. Open the learning plan you want, or create a new plan.

  2. Use the two available categories for tagging:

    • Training job: Enter the qualification or specialization here (e.g., “E-commerce clerk” or “Industrial clerk”).

    • Training year: Enter the training year or class here (e.g., “1st year” or “2nd year”).

  3. You can also assign multiple values in each category at the same time.

  4. Tags are saved automatically when you select them. You have two ways to assign tags: on the overview page of all learning plans and on the detail page of the respective plan.

Important: Only trainers with active edit permission for the plan can set or change its tags. Bulk tagging for multiple plans at once isn't possible.

Apply filters in the Library

The filter controls are located next to the search field at the top of your Library.

  • On desktop or tablet: Click the “Filter” dropdown menu. A panel opens where you can select tags as clickable chips. The list is divided into the sections qualification type and training year/class.

  • On your smartphone: Tap the filter icon. A menu opens at the bottom of the screen with the same options.

How the filter logic works

  • Filters within the same category: If you select multiple chips in the same category (e.g., “E-commerce clerk” and “Industrial clerk”), the system shows plans that meet at least one of these criteria.

  • Filters across different categories: If you combine filters from both sections (e.g., a qualification type AND a training year), both conditions must apply at the same time.

  • Combining with text search: You can easily combine active tag filters with the regular text search to narrow down your results even further.

  • Switching between tabs: When you enter a search term or set filters, they stay active when you switch back and forth between the “All”, “Active”, and “Past” tabs.

Important: These filter options are available to trainer and trainee accounts. The filters aren't shown on B2C accounts. Plans that have no tags at all can still be found in the unfiltered full list and through the regular text search.

💡 Tip: The values you can select in the filter are generated automatically from the data already used in your plans. If a certain term doesn't appear in the filter list, it just means that no accessible learning plan has been given that tag yet.
