What grade does a test give, and when is it passed?
Every test is graded using the official IHK grading scale. It is fixed and applies to all tests:
Grade | Description | Min. accuracy |
1.0–1.4 | very good | 92% |
1.5–2.4 | good | 81% |
2.5–3.4 | satisfactory | 67% |
3.5–4.4 | sufficient | 50% |
4.5–5.4 | poor | 30% |
5.5–6.0 | insufficient | < 30% |
A test is passed with a grade of 4.4 or better, meaning at least 50% of the total points. The system calculates this automatically, so you don't need to grade manually.
How are free-text answers graded, and can I change the AI grading?
How are free-text answers graded, and can I change the AI grading?
Multiple-choice and standard questions are graded automatically and instantly. Free-text answers are graded by the AI based on the sample solution you provided, and partial points are possible (color-coded: green = fully correct, blue = partially correct, red = incorrect).
You can review and override the AI grading of free-text answers in the results view. Adjust the points awarded if you disagree. Tip: Clear sample solutions and grading criteria give the AI the best foundation.

Not currently. There's no automatic notification when a trainee completes a test, but the result appears in your test report immediately once the trainee submits. Check the report to see who has finished.
