Publishing learning plans as company-wide templates

With company-wide templates, training managers can share proven learning plans directly across the entire company.

Why use company-wide templates?

  • Ensure consistency: All employees learn according to uniform, reviewed standards.

  • Save time: New plans can be created from existing templates in seconds.

  • Speed up onboarding: New trainers get immediate access to the knowledge of the entire company.

Creating a learning plan as a company-wide template

There are two ways to make a template available to your entire organization.

Method 1: Create a new learning plan directly as a template

  1. Start creating a new learning plan.

  2. In the selection menu, choose Company-wide template.

  3. Give the template a name and add the content you want.

  4. Save the template.

Method 2: Publish an existing learning plan

  1. In your Library, go to the Learning plans tab.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the learning plan you want to publish.

  3. Select Publish as template.

Important: Publishing an existing learning plan creates a separate, standalone template. Assigned learners, appointments, due dates, and reports from the original learning plan are not carried over to the template. The original learning plan remains unchanged.

Visibility

Visible to everyone in the company (including custom content and attachments).

Editing

The creator's original template stays protected. Other users copy the template and edit their own copy.

Publishing

Only trainers can create and publish templates.

Changes

Later changes to the template do not affect learning plans that have already been copied.

Important: Since content and file attachments are visible to the entire company, do not publish confidential or protected documents in templates.

Finding and reusing published templates

Everyone in the company can find templates in two places:

  • On the Discover page, in the "From [Company name]" section.

  • In the template list when creating a new learning plan.

Tip: If a template is no longer needed, you can delete it. Learning plans that users have already created from it will not be affected.
